In spiritual silence, a Tui sings
Early morn wait, what day brings
Sunshine- sorrow, to my open door
Seasonal changes, springtime raw.
Upon earth wait, weather to settle
Surrounded colour, nature’s petals
Fruit tree decoration, vibrant galore
Crystallized sunshine, on watery shore.
Sun spot freckles, on changing scene
Aura blue of brightness, sparkle serene
Textured hillsides, patchwork of green
Flutter-bird-life-wake-nature-supreme.
Ripples of tidal flow, beats to a shore
Breeze wakes tree life, warns once more,
that morning is here, time to wake-rise
In currents off sea, they’ll float-ride.
Chorus of songbirds, herald new day
Cobweb of mist, disappear-roll-away
Human sounds, on a harbour heard
Overcome-emotions, by song of birds.
