Every day at noon, one arrives
Very soon another, sits close by its side
Throne and vantage point, is a tree
From there the garden, they oversee
Colours so vivid, ones I love
Impact great, kingfishers not doves
Every day I can tell, the exact time
My two friends arrive, rain or fine
Beaty draws eyes, leaves us in awe
As a kitten or puppy, soft padded paws
Plumage from birds, so varied and grand
Natives become, Land’s own special brand
Human’s who travel, a species may take
Making it home-like, home-sickness-break
Climates may differ, but many survive
Welcome or not, joining a nature’s pride
