Peaks of Rangitoto, point your summit to sunset sky.
Surrounds of ocean’s water, winds of darkness sigh.
Navy-peachy-blushes, highlight to golden peak.
True majestic scene, one could ever want to seek.
You a sleeping beauty, Aucklanders your prince.
Volcanic natural wonder, no longer lifetime sync.
Welcoming day-trippers, do not scare with a roar.
One day you’ll scare us plenty, plans held in store.
A City of Auckland icon, oversee harbour flow.
None miss your grandeur, volcanic island low.
Settles in city harbour, given twin a name.
It’s City of Sails- still Auckland the same.
Shimmer water still- by Tamaki Drive- stroll.
Upon harbour scene, beauty-touches a soul.
Not black-silver-grey-blue, but dominant hue.
New Zealand colour of nature, we’ll call-Tui Blue.
Image captures feelings, breathtaking serene.
Nothing mars simplicity, nightly twilight scene.
Reproduce its glory, framed prints or oils of class.
Salute nature with love- fruity liquid-sip from glass.
