Can you recall, that heartfelt inner pain.
Nothing can compare, just isn’t the same.
Takes your breath, twists you inside.
Makes you wonder, if loves on your side.
Wake in the morning, it’s the first thing.
No longer warm–with special inner zing.
It takes some time, to deal and accept.
Someone you cared about, actually left.
Well maybe not forever, the doors ajar.
For contact, don’t have to look very far.
But an empty feeling, takes time to adjust.
In a human day, take the test one must.
We cope with separation-love-felt-worst.
Can it be classed, the same as your first.
Does age make it easier, to carry-on-smile.
No-matter what age-travel-pain-full-miles.
Just have the inner hope, all will come right.
And very soon, your morning will shine bright.
Always be prepared, know separation is hard.
Missing you-heartfelt- not words on an ecard.
